When Katie Hall first entered the First Aid industry, she thought the job would mostly involve Band Aids and Neosporin. It didn’t take long for her to realize there was much more behind it.
“My first day entering the first aid world was truly wild,” Katie said. “Little did I know there were nine different versions of a bandage and multiple types of ointments.”
What started as something unexpected quickly became a career that fit who she already was. Detail-oriented, organized, caring, and people-focused.
“It worked for me,” she shared. “I love to help, and I love people. First Aid becomes a part of your personality, but really, I think it highlights what you already are.”
Today, Katie helps lead CITY First Aid’s growing presence in California, building relationships with customers while helping shape what excellent service looks like as the division continues expanding.
For Katie, the role goes far beyond simply restocking a cabinet. It is about being present, staying proactive, and helping customers feel supported before they even realize they need help.
“Good service is really doing what’s best for the customer,” she explained. “You want to be someone they trust. Someone they know they can call.”
That mindset shows up in the way Katie approaches her route every day. She focuses heavily on organization, cleanliness, consistency, and communication.
From keeping kits clean and audit-ready to educating employees about AEDs and eyewash stations, Katie believes every interaction matters. She understands that many people may never think about First Aid supplies until an emergency happens.
That reality became especially meaningful after one customer purchased an AED through CITY First Aid Later, Katie received a call letting her know the AED had been used to save someone’s life. “That was crazy,” she said. “It’s knowing they had what they needed when it mattered.”
Katie believes trust is built through the small things. Reading the room, respecting a customer’s time, following through, and taking ownership of her route all play a role in creating strong relationships.
That same care and attention to detail carries into Katie’s life outside of work, too. She enjoys spending time with her Goldendoodle, Regis Philbin, watercolor painting, and focusing on the simple parts of life. Every year, she hand-paints her own Christmas cards and mails them to family, friends, coworkers, and customers.
For Katie, connection matters, whether it is through a conversation on her route, helping a customer, or sharing something she created with the people around her.
As CITY First Aid continues growing across new regions, Katie is excited about helping build something meaningful from the ground up and creating consistent service customers can rely on.
